GMP’s Signature component, the Waterproof Base, provides protection and position. A lightweight, moisture-proof fabric called PUL (polyurethane laminate) is hidden between two layers of colorful, high-quality cotton. The Base uses a snap to fasten securely to panties. Fabric bands hold flannel inserts firmly in place. The Base provides a moisture barrier and a fixed position. However, it does not provide absorbency in and of itself.

Flannel Inserts provide comfortable absorbency when placed within the bands of the Waterproof Base. Each two-ply Flannel Insert is folded in half to provide four layers of protection. Of course, four layers may not be enough, so as many as three Inserts can be used together for up to 12 layers of absorbency! Twelve Inserts are provided with each Personal Pack to allow exchanging them throughout the day and laundering between uses.

Quality panties are an integral part of the GMP Personal Pack. Without appropriate underwear, the Waterproof Bases and Flannel Inserts are virtually useless. Each kit-recipient should receive two brand new cotton or cotton-blend panties with their kit. Colored (non-white) hipster or brief styles are preferred. GMP typically distributes sizes ranging from Girls 12 to 16 and Adult 4 to 9.

A washable and waterproof Wet Bag should be included in each GMP Personal Pack. This handy gallon-size bag has a strong zipper-type seal and can be reused hundreds of times. Wet Bags are utilized to safely and discreetly carry dirty items home to be laundered.

Each Personal Pack includes one new, store bought colored (non-white) washcloth to complement the teaching regarding health and hygiene. You would be surprised how much joy many girls express upon receiving this simple gift.

One bar of travel-size (1.5 oz) soap should be provided with each Personal Pack. For Blessman International distributions a full size soap is added in South Africa.

Of course, each Personal Pack comes with printed instructions as well as a menstrual health calendar. Recipients receive valuable education about their value, roles, and rights as women, the science of menstruation, use and care of their new Personal Packs, and more. Printed instructions re-emphasize key points.

And all of these wonderful, sometimes life-changing, items are lovingly packaged in a colorful Cinch Sack with ribbon drawstrings that can be carried as a knapsack.
