Girls Matter Period™ is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit empowering girls and women through menstrual health education and washable, reusable feminine hygiene supplies.
Our volunteers sew and assemble thousands of Girls Matter Personal Packs each year for distribution to girls and women in South Africa, Kenya, Liberia, and beyond. These kits help girls manage their periods with confidence, stay in school, and live with dignity.
We also make our patterns and educational resources available free of charge for humanitarian efforts, allowing individuals and organizations around the world to make reusable kits for girls and women in need.
We are 100% volunteer-run. No one, including our founders, receives wages or reimbursement for travel expenses. Donations go directly toward kit production, distribution, education, and our limited necessary overhead expenses.
